On Saturday May 10, 2014 the Turkish Cultural Center Connecticut hosted a mothers day program honoring the mothers of the community. The program consisted of a power point explaining the Islamic view of a mother. Afterwards the students of the Turkish Cultural Center Saturday School recited poems.
Along side with the program the Turkish Cultural Center sold raffle tickets. The money collected from the raffle tickets was donated to Africa. During the program the Chefs organizing the Turkish Cooking classes baked fresh pastries for the guests.
Henna tattoos were offered for anyone interested. It was a great organization once again reminding us the importance of mothers.
