Coffee Nights are a means of building friendship with the community and learning more about Turkish cultural heritage. On February 21st, 2009, Turkish Cultural Center Connecticut held its first coffee night. The theme of the night was the world-famous Turkish Coffee.
Over one hundred people, including West Haven Mayor John Picard, attended the event. Guests enjoyed home-made Turkish pastries and desserts. All guests also tasted authentic, slow-brewed Turkish Coffee. At the night there was a demonstration of Turkish marbling art named Ebru.
