One of the most joyous holidays, Eid – also known as ‘Bayram’ in Turkish – is a three-day-long holiday in the Islamic Calender that marks the celebration of the end of Ramadan.
On Monday, July 28, 2014, the Turkish Cultural Center of Connecticut organized an Eid Tent at the West Haven Green, where more than 200 people attended.
After the crowd was served lunch, a small fair took attention of the adults and the children joyfully played and enjoyed their time at the bouncy houses. Exchanging gifts and the serving of cotton candy added another delight to our celebration.
We celebrate everyone’s Eid and thank everyone who attended the event.
