Abraham’s Garden Put to Sleep for Winter

On November 12th 2011, dried leaves were picked, weeds were rooted and stems of the vegetables were left to compost for the next year’s Abraham’s Garden. It has been another fantastic year of the garden which produced a variety for fresh produce for WHEAT (West Haven Emergency Action Taskforce) aid agency. “It was definitely the love and care of the volunteers from the Church of Holy Spirit and Turkish Cultural Center Connecticut that made this garden so fruitful” said Burak, a TCCC volunteer. Now the garden will rest and refresh itself for the next planting in May 2012.
